The newly appointed board members of the Malawi National Council of Sports have been sworn in today during a ceremony held at Capital Hill in Lilongwe.
The appointments were made in April following the expiry of the previous board’s term.
The board is chaired by Dr. Sunduzwayo Madise, with Mr. Charles Ulaya Banda serving as Vice Chairperson. Other members include Ms. Susan Namangale, Ms. Chigomezgo Kimberly Nyasulu, Mr. Alufeyo Chipanga, Ms. Dabwitsa Hara, Mr. Proud Chalira and Mr. Thumbiko Kamungawatema Mhango.
After the swearing-in ceremony, the board members had an interface meeting with the Minister of Youth and Sports, Honourable Uchizi Mkandawire, MP, where the Minister provided policy guidance for the new board as they take up their new role.
