During the region 5 games in Lesotho last year Team Malawi managed to acquire 29 medals which include 2 gold, 10 Silver and 17 bronze.
In total the team won 7 medals, that’s 3 gold, 1 Silver and 3 bronze.
Sukali was declared winner following the disqualification of Mphatso Nadolo who was first to finish the race. Nadolo was disqualified after he failed to adhere to some rules of the competition.
The delegation comprises of 6 officials, nineteen (19) female players and eighteen (18) male players.
This was the second outing for Malawi Kickboxing Association to take part in an international tournament following their first outing when they competed at the African Day championship in Zimbabwe in May where they managed to win 3 gold and four silver medals.
The Malawi Youth Games, which its inaugural games took place early this year was introduced by MNCS with the aim of revamping school sport.
The course started on Monday 15 August and finished on Saturday 20 August 2022. 25 females and 14 males took part in the netball developmental level coaching and umpiring training at Mwanza District Council.
