The 14-year-old managed to beat the national and personal record as he finished the 50m freestyle at 26.37 and the 100m freestyle at 58.16.

All the players who took part in the tournament received notebooks and pens as 44 players who are registered under the MAS program were affected by Cyclone Freddy.

Mwanyali from Civo athletics club finished the 21 km race in 1:08.04 while Mzuzu based athlete, Chirwa from Forever athletics club dominated the women category as she finished the race in 1:23.44
