The course aims to build capacity for sports administrators in strategic planning, financial management, resource mobilization, sports facilities management, and transformational leadership

Last year, Malawi received nominations in three categories at the regional awards, including Junior Sportsman of the Year, Sports Team of the Year, and Journalist of the  Year.

She has also been named in the 2023-2024 team of the season, making her the first Malawian to win this accolade.

The team’s rankings follow the country’s hosting of the Africa Cup Club Championship in November 2023 and the participation in East and Central qualifying games in September 2022 in Zimbabwe.

Malawi sent a team of ten athletes to the competition, with two representatives from each of the five sporting codes: swimming, judo, taekwondo, athletics, and boxing.
