The Malawi National Council of Sports (MNCS) Northern Region office has embarked on a series of stakeholder engagement meetings with regional sports committees to deliberate on strategies to enhance sports development in the region.
The meetings started on Wednesday 22nd December and will conclude today Friday 24th December 2025. The initiative aims to provide a comprehensive understanding of the current state of sports in the region, enabling the office to tailor its strategies to the specific needs and challenges faced by local associations.
This week, representatives from various regional committees—including the Chess Association of Malawi, the Darts Association of Malawi, the Malawi Paralympic Committee, the Basketball Association of Malawi, the Volleyball Association of Malawi, the Malawi Boxing Association, the Taekwondo Association of Malawi, Athletics Malawi, and the Handball Association of Malawi—have actively participated in the discussions.
The meetings serve as a platform for collaboration, allowing stakeholders to share insights, identify challenges, and propose solutions aimed at advancing the region’s sporting landscape.
