The Chief Executive Officer of the Malawi National Council of Sports, Dr. Henry Kamata, is continuing his engagement with sports associations in the northern region today at Illara Crest Lodge in Mzuzu, picking up from where he left off yesterday.
Yesterday, Dr. Kamata held meetings with the Bawo Association of Malawi, the Boxing Association of Malawi, and the Badminton Association of Malawi. Several important issues were discussed during these meetings, including the need to equip technical officials with the latest knowledge and skills, the significance of good governance, the necessity for high-quality sports facilities to promote sports development in Malawi, and the importance of aligning with international sports bodies in program implementation.
Today, Dr. Kamata will meet with the Volleyball Association of Malawi, the Pool Association of Malawi, the Wrestling Association of Malawi, and the Cycling Association of Malawi. This series of meetings is part of his ongoing efforts to promote the professional management of sports in the country. Similar meetings have already been conducted in Blantyre and Lilongwe.
Following today’s meetings, Dr. Kamata will visit the site allocated to the Cycling Association of Malawi for the construction of its sports facility to assess the progress made thus far.
