NADOLO AND CHIRWA TRIUMPH IN 6th EDITION OF BLANTYRE 42.195 KM RACE

South Africa-based runner Mphatso Nadolo and Mzuzu based female athlete Nalicy Chirwa have emerged victorious in the 6 the edition of the Blantyre 42.195 km race that took place today at the Kamuzu stadium in Blantyre

Nadolo finished the 42.195 km race in 2:22.05 followed by Malawo defence force athlete Ndacha Mchelenje who finished the race in 2:24,20 Glevasio Mpani from CIVO sporting club finished on third position with a time of 2:26.33.

In the women’s category, Nalicy Chirwa defended her title after she finished the 42.195 km race in 2:57.02, veteran Tereza Master finished in second position with a time of 3:02,59 and Doris Fisher finished in third position with a time of 3:04;23.

In the 10 km race male category Chikondi Mwanyali from Civo Sporting Club emerged as champion after finishing the race in 29:57;62, Prince Kalindawako also from Civo Sporting finished in second position after finishing the race in 30:04;93 while George Khanje finished on third position with a time of 30:57;54

In the women’s category, Moneyi Chigayipe emerged as champion, finishing the race in 36:50;22. Mercy Malembo finished in second position with a time of 37:20;14, and Enifa Kaponda finished in third position with a time of 37:54;02.

In the 5 km race male category Edison Mwata emerged as champion after finishing the race in 30:22;63 while Joseph Mwale finished second with a time of 31:00;50 and Aaron white finished in third position with a time of 31:43,05

In the women’s category Milliam Kachingwe emerged as champion after finishing the race with a time of 18:53;81 while Lydia Mwenechanya finished second with a time of 19:21;15 and Ruth Phiri finished in third position with a time 19:31;12
